* Its story is as follows: *

 

 * Yudhishthira asked Lord Shri Krishna: * Lord! How was Punyamayi Ekadashi date originated? Why was she considered holy in this world and how was she loved by the gods?

 

* Shri Bhagwan said: * Kuntinandan! It is a matter of ancient times. There was a demon named the Mur in Satyayuga. He was very amazing, extremely rougher, and terrible for all the gods. Indra was also conquered by Kalupadhari Duratma Mahar. The entire deity was defeated and expelled from heaven and used to sit on the earth in doubt and fear. One day all the gods went to Mahadev Ji. There Indra told the whole situation to Lord Shiva.

 

* Indra said: * Maheshwar! These gods have been wandering on earth after being expelled from heaven. Living among humans does not suit them. God! Suggest a solution. Whom should the gods support?

* Mahadevji said: * Devraj! Go to the place where Lord Garuda Dhwaj, the Lord of the world who gives shelter to everyone and who is ready to protect everyone, is there. They will protect you guys.

 

* Lord Krishna says * Yudhishthira! On hearing this Mahadevji, the supreme wise Devaraja Indra went to the Kshirsagar with all the gods where Lord Gadadhar was sleeping. Indra praised him with folded hands.

 

* Indra said: * Devadeveshwar! Greetings to you! God! You are the husband, you are the mother, you are the doer and you are the reason. You are the mother of all people and you are the father of this world. Both the deity and the demon worship you. Pundarikaksha! You are the enemy of the demons. Madhusudan! Protect us. God Jagannath! A demon named Mahabali Mur with a very strong temperament has conquered these entire gods and cast them out of heaven. God! Devadeveshwar! Refuge The gods have come to your shelter fearfully. Kamalnayan who destroyed the demons! Devotee Devadeveshwar! Janardan! Protect us… protect us. God! Help the Gods who have come to the shelter.

 

Hearing of Indra, Lord Vishnu said: * Devraj! How is this demon? What are his form and strength and where is the place of that evil living?

 

* Indra said: * Deveshwar! In the past, a great asura named Talajangha was born in the dynasty of Brahmaji, which was very fierce. His son is known as Mur Demon. He is also extremely fervent, great, and fierce for the gods. There is a city known as Chandravati, he resides thereby making a place in it. That monster defeated all the gods and drove them out of heaven. He has placed each other on the throne of heaven. He has also made Agni, Moon, Surya, Vayu, and Varuna. Janardan! I am telling the truth. He has done everything else. He has deprived the gods of each of their places.

 

Lord Janardhana got very angry on hearing this thing of Indra. He entered the city of Chandravati with the gods. Lord Gadadhar observed that "the demon king is repeatedly roaring and after defeating him the whole deity is running in ten directions." Now he saw the demon Lord Vishnu and said: "Stand ... Stand." Hearing this challenge of his, the eyes of God turned red with anger. He said: 'Hey the evil demon! Look at these arms of mine. Saying this, Srivishnu started killing the evil demons who came out of his divine arrows. The demons were disturbed by fear. Pandandanan! Thereafter, Srivishnu attacked the monster army with a circle. Hundreds of warriors, separated from him, went to the face of death.

 

After this, Lord Madhusudan went to Badarikashram. There was a cave named Simhavati, which was twelve yojans long. Pandandanan! There was only one door in that cave. Lord Vishnu slept in it. He was behind in the industry to kill the demon Mur god. So he too entered the same cave. He was very happy to see God sleeping there. He thought: 'It is a god giving fear to demons. So, of course, I will kill it. ' Yudhisthira! After considering the demon in this way, a girl appeared from the body of Lord Vishnu, who was equipped with very beautiful weapons, good luck, and divine weapons. She was born out of the glory of God. His strength and might was great. Yudhisthira! Demonraj Mur saw that girl. Virgo, considering the war, pleaded for a battle with the demon. War broke out. The girl was proficient in all kinds of warfare. That great asura named the Mur became a pile of ashes from his humiliation. God wakes up when the demon is killed. Seeing the demon lying down on the earth like this, he asked the girl: 'This enemy of mine was very fierce and fierce. Who killed it? '

 

* Virgo bid: * Owner! I have killed this Mahaditya with your own offerings.

 

* Shri Bhagwan said: * Kalyani! The monks and gods of the three worlds have rejoiced with this act of yours. Therefore, according to your wish, ask for a bridesmaid from me. There will be no doubt even if I am giving you that groom even if I am Godless.

 

That girl was Sakshat Ekadashi.

 

* He said: * 'Lord! If you are happy, then by your grace, I can be the leader in all pilgrimages, the destroyer of all obstacles, and the Goddess who gives all kinds of achievements. Janardan! Those who will fast on my day with devotion in you, may they get all kinds of accomplishment. Madhav! Offer money, religion, and salvation to those who observe my fast by fasting, devouring food, or Ekbhakta. '

 

* Srivishnu said: * Kalyani! Everything you say will be complete.

 

* Lord Krishna says * Yudhishthira! Mahavrata Ekadashi was very happy to find such a groom. Ekadashi of both sides is equally beneficial. One should not distinguish between Shukla and Krishna. If there is a little Ekadashi in the Udayaka, full Dwadashi in the middle, and some Trayodashi in the end, then it is called 'Trishprisha Ekadashi'. She is very dear to God. If a 'Trishprisha Ekadashi' fasts, then the fruit of one thousand Ekadashi fasts are obtained, and similarly, if passed in Dwadashi, it is considered a thousand times. Ashtami, Ekadashi, Shashthi, Tirtha, and Chaturdashi - If they are in conflict with the previous date, then they should not fast. There is a law of fasting only if it is associated with the date of Parvartini. It is Ekadashi on the first day and also at night and only in the morning on the second day. If Kaal Ekadand Ekadashi is to be abandoned, the first day should be abandoned and the Dwadashukta Ekadashi should fast on the second day. I have given this method for Ekadashi on both sides.

 

The person who fasts on Ekadashi goes to Vaikunthadham, where the lord Lord Garudadhwaj resides. A human who recites the greatness of Ekadashi at all times gets the fruits of the virtue of a thousand Gaudin. Those who devoutly listen to this greatness in the day or night, are free from sins, etc. There is no other sinful fast like Ekadashi.
