Friends, do you know the meaning of your life? / What Is The Meaning Of Life, how will you know the real purpose of your life? I am not talking about your job, even your daily responsibilities, or your long-term goals. I mean the real reason you’re here for — the reason you exist.
Or perhaps you are an atheist who thinks that life has no purpose, and that life has no meaning. And it doesn’t matter. Believing in this that there is no purpose in life that does not stop you from discovering it, just like not believing in gravity cannot stop you from roaming.
If you do not believe it will take you a little longer to understand this, and chances are that if you believe that there is no purpose for your life, then you will not believe in what I am saying, but still What does it take to give a little time, do you know if something is known?
By telling a short story about Bruce Lee, I set the stage for this little exercise.
A Martial Artist asked Bruce Lee to teach me whatever you know about Martial Arts. Bruce Lee took two cups full of water and said, “The first cup is whatever you know about Martial Arts. Shows, the second cup shows my knowledge of Martial Arts. If you want to fill your cup with my knowledge, you must first empty your cup of knowledge.”
If you want to know the real purpose of your life, then first you have to get rid of all the useless motives taught to you (Including that your life has no purpose).
So how will you know the purpose of your life (meaning of life)? Although there are many ways to find out, here I will tell you a very simple method which anyone can adopt. The more you accept this method, the more you expect it to work, and the faster it will work for you. But even if you don’t expect much from it, or do something about it, think that it is stupid, is a waste of time, then it will work for you, you just need to stick with it.- But yes, It will take a little more time.
you have to do:
• Take a blank page or open a Word file.
• Write at the top, “What is the real purpose of my life?
• Write an answer (anything) that comes to your mind. There is no need to write the entire sentence. A small phrase is enough.
• Repeat Step 3 until you write an answer that makes you cry.
This is the purpose of your life / Purpose Of Life:
That’s all. It doesn’t matter whether you are a Doctor, Engineer, or Bodybuilder. Some people will find this exercise quite suitable, some people just rubbish. Whatever is the purpose of life, whatever is happening in our minds, and because of our social condition, it will generally take 15–20 minutes to clear whatever we think about it.
Wrong answers will come from your memory and mind. But when you get the right answer, you will realize that this answer is coming from a completely different place.
For those people who have settled their roots at a very low level of awareness, it will take a long time, maybe more than an hour, to get all the wrong answers. But if you persist even after 100, 200, or 500 answers, then you will get the answer which will increase your feelings, which will make you cry. If you’ve never done this before, it might sound silly to you. Let it go but definitely do it.
As you go through this process, some of your answers will look very similar, you can also rewrite the old answers if you want. You can suddenly think in a new direction and write 10–20 new answers. That’s OK. You can write whatever answer comes to your mind provided you keep writing.
During this time there will also come a time (after about 50–100 answers) when you want to Quit, and you are not able to see yourself reaching that answer. You may feel that you get up on some pretext and start doing something else. This is normal. Overcome this barrier, and just keep writing. The feeling of obstruction will be over in a while.
Perhaps you will find some such answers in the middle that make you a little emotional, but they do not make you cry — go ahead highlighting such answers, so that you can come back to them later and make new totals. Each answer represents a part of your purpose, but it is not complete in itself. When you start getting such answers, it means that you are warming up. Just keep moving forward.
It is important that you do it alone without any interruption. If you’re an atheist, you can start with the answer, “My life has no purpose,” or “Life is meaningless,” and move on from there, if you persist you’ll get the answer.
When I did this exercise, it took me about 30 minutes, and I reached my final answer in the 110th step. I got some parts of the answer (when I got emotional) in steps no.55 and 78. And most of all I got my answer in Steps 104–110 and got refined.
I felt a lot of inhibition around steps 60–65, felt that I should do something else except this, I felt that this process would fail, and I felt quite Impatient and Irritating. Step no.
